Role of Concept of the Judicial Reform of 1992 in Establishing the Constitutional Basis for the Legal Status of Judges in Ukraine

The article deals with the historical-legal analysis of the concept of judicial reform in Ukraine in 1992 and determining its role in the formation of constitutional basis of legal status of judges. The importance is placed on the factors that have predetermined the necessity of judicial and legal reform. The aricle provides in-depths study of the conditions in which the constitutional foundations of the legal status of judges have developed and the dynamics of certain elements of the legal status of judges under the Concept of judicial reform in Ukraine in 1992. Most of the Concept items of judicial reform of 1992 have been fixed in the subsequent legislation acts concerning the status of judges, and some of them are still valid today. The author emphasizes the crucial importance of the Concept for the development of the national judicial system and the evolution of the legal status of judges. This document launched the dynamic development of the constitutional legislation regarding the status of judges.
