Impact of the Treaty about Agriculture for Food Security of Member Countries of the WTO

Abstract

The article is theoretical and practical study of the effect of the Agreement on Agriculture for food security of the participating countries of the World Trade Organization, as well as a place of international trade and forms of regulation in international law. Agriculture has traditionally been regarded as exceptional or is sensitive sectors of the global trading system. Even despite the fact that agricultural products, as opposed to services, are the products of labor, which physically cross national borders in the WTO system they stand apart because of their special nature and role in international trade.This difference lies in the peculiarities of the production process in agriculture, the constant demand for foods that provide the daily needs of human nature, as well as the important role played by the agricultural sector in history, culture and economy of many societies. Ukraine's accession to WTO contributed to the problem areas to adapt national legislation to WTO norms and rules, the competitiveness of agricultural products, hence the need to study this topic in the sector and overcome the problems facing member states.Thus, the modern concept of the global market economy by the standards of the WTO, when the production of a product in a particular country is defined not in terms of the need for the domestic market, but in terms of feasibility of production in the context of the international division of labor and free competition, does not provide full food security of a country.
